Horses are not allowed to participate in Pine & Spurs shows/events without a current negative Coggins, three (3) year in-State horses and six (6) month out-of-state horses. Please mail a copy of your Coggins with entry form or be prepared to present copy of negative Coggins at show/event.
Juniors are required to wear ASTM/SEI protective headgear passing or surpassing current applicable ASTM/SEI standards with harness secured while riding in Pine & Spurs Riding Club sponsored events.
The Pine & Spurs Riding Club strongly encourages all riders to wear protective headgear passing or surpassing current applicable ASTM/SEI standards with harness secured while riding anywhere on Pine & Spurs Riding Club show grounds. It is the responsibility of the rider, or parent/guardian of the junior exhibitor, to see that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards for protective headgear intended for equestrian use and is properly fitted and in good condition. Pine & Spurs Riding Club, Show Committee, and Licensed Officials are not responsible for checking headgear worn for such compliance. The responsibility for doing that rests under the rule with each junior’s parents/guardians.

I understand I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and acknowledge that the Pine & Spurs Riding Club strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all injuries.
I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, and I consent to the child’s participation and AGREE to all of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child’s behalf.
I AGREE that the Pine & Spurs Riding Club includes all of their officials, officers, directors, agents, personnel, volunteers, and affiliated organizations.
By signing below, I agree to be bound by the Constitution and rules of US Equestrian and MHA and all applicable Pine & Spurs Riding Club rules and all terms and provisions of this entry form. I further agree that is any damage or loss shall occur to any horses or property which I may send to this show, that I will make no claim thereof. I further agree to indemnify the Show Committee and all horse show officials or committee members against all claims caused by my horse, attendants, or myself. I accept as final the decision of the Show Committee on any question arising under said rules and agree to hold this Show, its Officials, Officers, Directors, and Volunteers blameless of any action taken. I hereby enter the above horse or pony at my own risk.
WARNING: Under Maine law, an equine activity sponsor or professional has limited liability for an injury or death resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
